Alpha by Omega matboards are made of industry standard alpha-cellulose (wood pulp) fibers that are chemically treated to neutralize acids and lignins that can break down both the matboard and the artwork that is being framed. Alpha-cellulose matboards are suitable for certain levels of conservation picture framing and can serve as a premium option to non-conservation matting. • 100% virgin alpha-cellulose surface, core and backing papers • Manufactured in the United States • Acid Free and Lignin Free • Fade and bleed resistant minimum standards for fade and bleed as set by F.A.T.G. • pH 8.0-9.5.
